Robert Half is Hiring a Help Desk Technician Near Chandler, AZ

DescriptionRobert Half's client in Chandler, Arizona is seeking an onsite Help Desk Technician. This position is ideal for candidates who possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a passion for providing excellent customer support. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing technical assistance to our internal users.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • System Administration: Assist in the administration and maintenance of servers, network infrastructure, and other IT systems under the guidance of senior administrators.
  • User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms and applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support tickets, resolutions, system configurations, and other relevant documentation.
  • Training: Conduct user training sessions and create instructional materials to enhance end-user proficiency with IT systems and tools.
  • Security: Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect company data and assets.
  • Hardware and Software Procurement: Assist in the procurement, deployment, and inventory management of IT hardware and software resources.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary support services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization of IT systems and workflows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
