We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist, primarily with responsibilities in the education industry, based in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. This role involves a variety of HR duties and places a particular emphasis on Receptionist Duties. Responsibilities include:• Managing, coordinating, and implementing various HR programs and procedures for company personnel.• Participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.• Administering compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.• Identifying staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.• Allocating human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.• Serving as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.• Performing difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.• Advising managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.• Analyzing and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.• Conducting exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.• Engaging in Receptionist Duties, including answering phone calls, managing appointments, and providing information to callers.
