Responsibilities
- Conducting regular audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures.
- Identifying areas of risk and ensuring they are addressed in audit reviews and reports.
- Evaluating the accuracy of financial information and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with various departments to improve internal controls and minimize risk.
- Developing recommendations for improving internal controls, operating efficiency, and the adequacy of records and recordkeeping.
- Preparing audit findings and presenting to management.
- Monitoring implementation of action plans to ensure risk mitigation efforts are successful.
- Participating in special assignments as deemed necessary by management.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes to regulations and laws impacting the telecom industry.
- Supporting the development and implementation of the annual audit plan.
- Proven experience in the field of internal auditing
- Familiarity with internal control procedures and their implementation
- Expertise in auditing practices and principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented approach to work
- Capable of working independently and in a team
- Proficiency in using audit software and other relevant computer applications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or similar will be a plus
- Ability to adhere to and uphold ethical standards
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
