Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT Project / Portfolio Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and tracking of IT projects across our organization.
Hybrid work schedule available: 3 days onsite/ 2 days WFH
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of internal stakeholders.
The successful Project Manager will have a proven track record of managing complex IT projects, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The IT Project Manager will work directly for the Project Management Office, while supporting all IT projects at the direction of IT leadership to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting enterprise standards.
Job Duties:
Lead the planning, implementation, and tracking of IT projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate project status to internal stakeholders.
Manage and coordinate project teams, including IT staff, contractors, and vendors.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Ensure that all projects adhere to Industry best practices and internal policies.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, requirements, and testing plans.
Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

The successful IT Project / Portfolio Manager will have:
• Project Portfolio Management experience
• Executive Reporting experience on a collection of projects
• Looking for ability to identify any risks or resource issues with project completion within a portfolio
• In-depth Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) user experience; Admin experience a definite plus
• A dynamic personality with critical thinking ability
• Independent work-style; ability to dig in and run with tasks
Experience managing cross-functional teams, including IT staff, contractors, and vendors.
Experience managing large, complex IT projects.
Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, including Agile and Waterfall
Technical knowledge in software development methodologies, database management, networking, security, and other related technologies
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience creating and managing project budgets, tracking progress, and identifying and mitigating risks.
Strategic thinking and the ability to align project goals with the overall goals of the organization.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and identify solutions that benefit the project and the organization.
Project management skills for scheduling, preparing for and performing internal audits.
The ability to construct and work to deadlines.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
Experience with industry-standard project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile)
A project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is desirable
5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
