Junior Accountant

Salary: $19.00 to $22.00 hourly

Description

Our client is a mission-driven organization committed to providing exceptional services in healthcare and community support. They are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic and supportive work environment. This is a temporary to hire role.

Responsibilities

• Execute accounting functions, including the processing of account coding and accounting entries.
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Oracle Net Suite to maintain and analyze accounts.
• Manage state and federal grants, ensuring all relevant accounting procedures are followed.
• Oversee the continuation of funding applications, ensuring they are submitted accurately and on time.
• Perform account reconciliation tasks, ensuring all financial data is accurate.
• Use Adobe Acrobat and other ERP solutions for document management and other related tasks.
• Monitor customer accounts, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications.
• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts in a detail oriented and timely manner.
• Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time.
  
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite is required.
• Knowledge of Medicaid services and grant management is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
