Position Details
- Type: Direct hire/permanent
- Salary: $85,000-100,000 base plus bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Innovative Collaboration: Assist senior engineers in designing and developing advanced data pipelines, converting raw data into valuable insights.
- Enterprise Data Lakehouse: Support the buildout, migration, and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Lakehouse to ensure a robust and scalable solution.
- Azure Databricks Optimization: Help administer and optimize Azure Databricks clusters to maintain excellent data processing performance.
- ELT Excellence: Contribute to implementing and refining ELT processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
- Data Modeling: Collaborate with analysts and business units to design and implement effective data models that drive business success.
- CI/CD Implementation: Work with IT teams to implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Data Integrity: Assist in determining data tracking and storage needs, performing data auditing and validation, and resolving any data issues or discrepancies.
- Mentorship: Learn from experienced Data Engineers and support less experienced team members through advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

- Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing Azure Data Lake storage
- Experience with Azure Databricks for big data analytics and artificial intelligence workloads
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Ability to design and implement data engineering solutions for large, complex data sets
- Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages
- Experience with data modeling tools and techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data quality issues
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data-related issues into understandable terms
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
