We are inviting applications for a Systems Administrator role based in Santa Monica, California. This role is within the government sector and involves the support and maintenance of Linux and Windows systems. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, responsible for enhancing network and system performance, providing technical assistance and resolving network, hardware, and software issues. Must have: 6 Years experience a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator Active Security Clearance Comfortable with fully on site - no hybrid option Responsibilities: • Support of Linux systems, including the installation and maintenance of Red Hat Linux (RHEL 8), and upgrading to more recent versions when required. • Installation and maintenance of Red Hat Linux and Windows Server operating systems. • Assisting with software and hardware installations for networked and stand-alone systems. • Providing network and system performance analysis, monitoring, and reporting. • Diagnosing and troubleshooting network, hardware, and software problems. • Acting as an escalation resource for problem resolution, solving complex technical problems in the field of expertise. • Implementing multiple and simultaneous new technology-related initiatives and solutions. • Collaborating with other Information Services groups in the evaluations, customization, adaptation, implementation, and security of infrastructure hardware and software systems, services, and networks. • Adhering to ITIL best practices including Change Management, Problem Management, Service, and Support standards. • Implementing technical controls, regulations, and processes required by organizational security practices and Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). • Preparing network, servers, and workstations for audits from regulators agencies. • Undertaking other projects and duties as assigned.
