DescriptionWe are seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate in the legal industry, based in Baltimore, Maryland. The role will involve working with a sophisticated practice that manages a robust clientele across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional research and writing skills in a strategic, aggressive, and creative environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation in commercial litigation matters
  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents related to commercial litigation
  • Conduct research to support legal proceedings and to initiate legal actions
  • Present evidence to defend clients or initiate legal actions, in court or administrative proceedings
  • Argue motions and other court hearings
  • Develop arguments and represent the client in criminal and civil legal proceedings
  • Prepare legal briefs, develop strategy, arguments and testimony in preparation for presentation of case
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in coordination with the client's requirements and interests
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses
  • Confer with colleagues to establish and verify the basis for legal proceedings.
Requirements
  • Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admittance to the Maryland State Bar is necessary.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Attorney or Lawyer.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Litigation and an interest in sophisticated business litigation
  • Proven experience in Arguing Motions.
  • Ability to Draft Legal Documents with precision and clarity.
  • Familiarity with Legal Research methods and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
