Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be part of our Big Data and Advanced Analytics department, working closely with Business domain experts and Data Scientists to solve complex problems in the oil and gas midstream industry. The role involves the use of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to provide analytical and technical leadership, advancing the machine learning engineering practice within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business domain experts and Data Scientists to understand business objectives and develop scalable machine learning systems
Design and implement frameworks and tools to streamline the machine learning process
Automate manual data tasks to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Convert research-based machine learning models into production-ready software
Solve mathematical optimization problems
Create and maintain optimal machine learning pipelines
Collect, explore, and prepare data for advanced analytics and machine learning tasks
Perform exploratory data analysis and present findings and recommendations
Research and prototype new technologies to advance machine learning capability
Leverage your skills in Python, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Apache Airflow, and Kubernetes in the execution of the above duties.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Machine Learning or a related field
Proven proficiency in Python is essential
Extensive experience working with scikit-learn and Pandas libraries
Knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow management is required
Familiarity with Kubernetes for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications is a must
Demonstrated ability to design and implement machine learning models for real-world problems
Proven track record in handling and analyzing large data sets
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
Up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
