Robert Half is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Lexington, KY

DescriptionWe are seeking a Medical Receptionist for our location in Lexington, Kentucky. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service in a medical environment, with responsibilities including checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and managing various administrative tasks. This is a contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in medical software and patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients upon their arrival, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
  • Answer inbound calls and inquiries, providing necessary information and assistance.
  • Schedule appointments for patients using EHR Systems and Medisoft, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Conduct insurance eligibility checks, ensuring patients are aware of their coverage.
  • Manage patient scheduling, physician scheduling, and procedure scheduling, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including billing functions and the creation of charts and graphs.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible when needed.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a related role
  • Proficiency in using medical software such as SoftDent and/or Dentrix preferred
  • Experience in handling billing functions in a medical setting
  • Knowledge of insurance procedures and policies
  • Proven ability to manage patient scheduling, physician scheduling, and procedure scheduling
  • Competence in scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Experience in answering inbound calls and handling inquiries in a professional manner
  • Familiarity with a multi-line phone system
  • Ability to check in patients efficiently and courteously
  • Experience in making inbound and outbound calls in a medical setting.
