DescriptionWe are seeking a Medical Receptionist,. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, vendors, and customers, ensuring their experience starts positively. You will also be in charge of administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and direct all visitors including vendors, clients, and customers, providing a welcoming and professional first impression
  • Handle paperwork, sign-in, and security procedures for all visitors to maintain a secure and efficient workplace
  • Oversee special administrative projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with overflow work from department and executive assistants, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
  • Utilize medical software to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth operations
  • Perform receptionist duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records
  • Use Microsoft Excel to track and organize data as necessary
  • Handle insurance-related tasks, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in the use of medical software for patient record management and scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to perform receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and greeting patients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and organizational tasks
  • Understanding of insurance policies, claims processing, and patient billing procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, medical professionals, and insurance companies
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting would be an asset.
