A midsized E&P company located in Downtown is looking for a Staff Accountant. The role will initially be responsible for Accounts payable accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with outsourced group to ensure accurate coding of invoices.

• Responsible for coding and routing of check requests and other critical requests.

• Oversee the input, coding, and approvals of ad valorem taxes.

• Process weekly check run

• Follow up and assist owner relations in the resolution of outstanding items.

• Review and reconcile accounts as needed.

• Assist in onboarding suppliers in Enverus OpenInvoice.

• Prepare and process monthly expense reclass journal entries.

• Process monthly reports related to utilities.

• Monitor invoice approval routings.

• Perform analytical reviews of monthly expenses as required.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• 1 years E&P experience preferred.

• Microsoft Office with proficient Excel spreadsheet skills (including by not limited to pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas). OGSYS software a plus.
