DescriptionWe are in are seeking a Real Estate Paralegal for a growing company. This role will be instrumental in assisting the General Counsel with legal research, document preparation, regulatory filings, and organizing deal flows, among other tasks. The role is pivotal within our organization, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our legal operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research using tools like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
  • Assist in document preparation, regulatory filings, and due diligence
  • Maintain and organize documents in electronic filing systems
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with outside parties
  • Assist the General Counsel with closings, organizing deal flows and timelines, and preparing for municipal hearings and corporate meetings
  • Track due diligence and prepare for corporate meetings
  • Maintain and organize entity organizational documents, closing checklists, officer certificates, and resolutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a paralegal in a legal or business setting.
  • Proficiency in commercial real estate law is crucial.
  • Strong research and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with legal databases and e-filing procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
  • Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy.
