We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detailed and organized Patient Registration professional in Tarzana, California. The primary function of this role is to register patients, maintain relationships with hospital employees, and ensure adherence to registration policies and procedures. This role is within the healthcare industry and will be based in a hospital setting.Responsibilities:• Register patients accurately, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered into the system.• Assist in orientating new hires within the department.• Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with all hospital employees.• Verify that each admission conforms to the defined policies and procedures of the registration process.• Obtain necessary authorizations and enter them into Meditech.• Attend department staff meetings and comply with Health Stream and Employee Health requirements.• Assist Department Lead and Supervisor as required.• Ensure all patient registrations are accurate and proficient, following departmental policies and procedures.• Maintain data integrity by ensuring no spelling errors in patient information and correct armbands for patients.• Handle patient valuables registration and release without error or complaint.• Perform age-specific competency orientation and training.• Participate in department problem-solving and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.• Ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available and used in a cost-effective manner.• Respond effectively to urgent safety situations and help provide a clean, comfortable environment for customers.• Demonstrate initiative in assisting others and performing other duties based on skill level and training.
