The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and have over 5 years of experience in payroll processing, including a managerial capacity within a large organization. Experience supporting HR-Payroll software systems, preferably Munis, is essential. Strong capabilities in MS Excel, a deep understanding of federal and state payroll regulations, and the ability to multitask under strict deadlines are crucial. Excellent communication skills, a customer service orientation, and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity are also key. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, recommend best practice operations, and collaborate proactively to resolve issues. This is position is 100% on-site in Portland with parking provided. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll supervisory or management role within the education industry
- Proficiency in using ADP for financial services and payroll management
- Demonstrated experience in managing payroll for over 500 employees
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and best practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and direct a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) would be an advantage
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
