DescriptionWe are seeking a Sr. Customer Service Representative located in BALTIMORE, Maryland, United States. This role involves collaborating with agency staff and community partners in a community outreach capacity. You will be primarily responsible for coordinating the development and writing of grant proposals, monitoring application statuses, and providing technical assistance to grantees. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities
Collaborate with agency staff and community partners to complete applications for submission
Coordinate the development and writing of all grant proposals, monitor status of applications
Provide technical assistance to grantees in completing and submitting their project applications
Maintain central repository of all grant proposal activity
Provide support and information as needed for other committees and workgroups of the Continuum of Care, such as the Resource Development Committee and Housing Committee
Develop and facilitate the Grant Awards, Grant Amendments from City, State, Federal, and other sources through the City’s Board of Estimates process to ensure timely approval of contracts with vendors
Coordinate and serve as liaison for contract activities with the City’s Departments of Law, Audits, and the Comptroller’s Office to ensure that contracts are in compliance with the City’s established legal and contractual requirements
Implement an effective record keeping system and maintain a database for all Grant Agreements, Contract Agreements, Amendments to contracts and MOUs that are developed and received for the agency
Prepare reports on contract progress and history for the agency
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably at a senior level
Proficiency in Community Outreach is crucial for this role
The candidate must have certification as a Housing Counselor
Familiarity with Program Objectives is a necessity for this position
The candidate should be well-versed with Compliance and Compliance Documentation
Knowledge of Fair Housing Law and Fair Housing is required
The candidate must display excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using customer service software and other related tools is expected
The candidate should have the ability to handle and resolve customer complaints effectively
A high level of patience and empathy in dealing with customers' concerns is required
The candidate should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress effectively
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
