Job Description

As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of a portfolio of commercial properties. Your expertise in MRI or Yardi software will be critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient property management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports for assigned properties.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address financial and operational issues.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Proficiency in MRI or Yardi software is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
