Job Description
As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of a portfolio of commercial properties. Your expertise in MRI or Yardi software will be critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient property management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports for assigned properties.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with property managers to address financial and operational issues.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry.
- Proficiency in MRI or Yardi software is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
