Robert Half is Hiring a Revenue Accountant Near Miami, FL

DescriptionWe are inviting applications for the role of a Revenue Accountant based in Miami, Florida. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, managing functions related to accounts receivable, revenue recognition, invoicing, and reporting. This role will entail working with various teams to ensure smooth financial operations, making it an essential part of our financial management process.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the daily execution of accounts receivable functions to minimize payment delays
  • Oversee and implement process improvements, including the preparation of weekly statements for clients
  • Conduct detailed reviews, preparation, and posting of transactions to the general ledger
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts by sales channels
  • Monitor delinquent accounts regularly and initiate collection actions by contacting clients
  • Ensure the accurate and timely recognition of revenue and invoicing
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including deferred revenue and revenue accruals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues and discrepancies across different channels
  • Manage billing processes to ensure invoices reflect contractual terms accurately
  • Perform monthly account analysis and provide meaningful explanations for planned vs. actual variances
  • Reconcile deposits on our bank account vs. the payment information from different sales channels based on their payment schedules
  • Review and approve sales tax information by state, as performed by third-party vendors
  • Work closely with wholesales and operations teams and participate in ad hoc projects as requested.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Experience with ERP Solutions
  • Knowledge of Excalibur software
  • Understanding of Great Plains (GPAC) system
  • Proficiency in Accounting Functions
  • Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Previous experience in Auditing
  • Familiarity with Billing Functions
  • Ability to manage Cash Activity.
