We are seeking a diligent Senior Accountant to join our client offering a hybrid work schedule in the Lancaster area. You will be responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, performing month-end closing procedures, and establishing more efficient accounting procedures. This role involves reconciling bank statements, preparing and entering journal entries, providing supporting documentation to independent auditors, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.Responsibilities:• Oversee general ledger accounting and perform month-end closing procedures.• Reconcile month-end account balances.• Prepare and enter journal entries.• Analyze financial information and prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports.• Improve the design of spreadsheets to improve accuracy and efficiency.• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.• Ensure compliance with GAAP.• Utilize skills such as Month End Close, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliation, GAAP Accounting.
