Working with a prestigious, national company to add a high potential Senior Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of our company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and producing timely and accurate financial statements. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Review and analyze accounting transactions to ensure proper classification and adherence to accounting standards.
- Implement and maintain accounting processes and procedures to streamline GL operations and enhance efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or other applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in the preparation of regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Recommend and implement best practices in financial reporting and GL management.
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 yrs of relevant experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
