DescriptionDue to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry. Our ideal applicant has 3 years of experience, holds a Degree in Accounting or Finance, and possesses a CPA certification or is on the route to attaining it. A strong foundation in accounting is highly recommended. This is a hybrid role in Jersey City. Responsibilities
Develop, deploy, and maintain financial models to predict, evaluate, and examine company expenses.
Create and adjust budget plans for the company expenses whilst considering financial trends and operational needs.
Prepare variance analysis for budgeting forecasts compared to actuals to support the financial planning process.
Conduct cash flow analysis to examine and record the company's cash inflow and outflow and come up with techniques to improve cash flow.
Develop, maintain and improve IRR and ROI analyses to assist management in making capital budgeting decisions.
Collaborate with cross-department business partners to deliver accurate and timely financial tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
Requirements
3 years of experience in finance or accounting in the insurance industry. Experience in the property and casualty insurance sector is preferred.
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
A CPA or on the CPA track is preferred.
Strong foundation in accounting is desired.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
Strong ability in working with financial and economic data.
Adept at working in fast-paced, rapidly evolving business environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
