Our client is a very stable, international consulting firm seeking a senior accountant. This is a growth position related to the buildout of a team in Boulder. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a US subsidiary while working alongside a high potential CPA who will serve as a valuable mentor. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on accounting experience, a strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles, expertise in sales and use tax compliance, and proficiency in general ledger management and month-end close processes. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote and in-office work, providing flexibility and opportunities for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Maintain internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.
• Provide support for audits and tax inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in sales and use tax compliance.
• Experience with general ledger management and month-end close processes.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
