We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves comprehensive lease accounting and reporting in accordance with US GAAP. The Senior Accountant will interact with various personnel to maintain the completeness and accuracy of the leases in our accounting software. Responsibilities:• Communicate regularly with accounting and operation personnel to identify new, modified or terminated leases• Track and enter lease updates in our accounting software to maintain a complete repository of active lease contracts• Review contracts to identify leases or embedded leases, perform the lease classification test and prepare the lease accounting• Assist with establishing the quarterly incremental borrowing rate• Research technical accounting matters in ASC 842, Leases, to identify the appropriate accounting treatment for new or complex matters• Ensure new, modified, or terminated leases are identified and entered in our accounting software for timely preparation of the lease journal entries• Prepare the right of use asset and lease liability roll forwards from our accounting software and reconcile to the general ledger• Generate and reconcile lease disclosure reports from our accounting software and prepare the annual lease disclosure for the audited financial statements• Reconcile lease expense in the general ledger to our accounting software, including implementing process improvements • Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reporting needs.
