DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in the automotive industry, based in Torrance, California. This role involves working in a hybrid workplace, where you will be expected to manage projects from initiation to implementation, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and mentor less experienced team members. The Sr. Project Manager will work on a very large project to modernize a legacy application. Daily Tasks
Develop Project Plans: Create detailed project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.
Host Regular Project Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with the project team and managers to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide updates.
Manage Deadlines: Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met by coordinating efforts across departments.
Coordinate with Vendors and Suppliers: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers as needed for project execution.
Risk Identification: Continuously assess project risks, including technical, operational, and organizational aspects.
Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
Testing and Validation: Oversee testing phases, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Status Updates: Regularly communicate project progress to stakeholders, adjusting communication style based on the audience (executives, technical teams, etc.).
Issue Resolution: Address any project-related issues promptly, seeking consensus and maintaining transparency.
Change Implementation: Facilitate the transition from legacy systems to modernized solutions.
User Adoption: Promote user acceptance and adoption of new technologies.
