We are looking for a Senior Commercial Property Accountant with over 5 years of experience in commercial property accounting. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. While a CPA designation is a plus, it is not required. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote and on-site work, providing flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close: Oversee and execute the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• CAM Reconciliations: Perform detailed Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations to ensure accurate allocation of expenses to tenants.
• Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for multiple commercial properties, ensuring alignment with financial goals and operational needs.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining comprehensive and accurate financial records.
• Accruals: Manage and maintain accruals, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting period.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations for property performance improvements.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, property managers, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
• CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
