Robert Half is partnering with a manufacturing client in the recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented Shared Services Manager to join their finance department. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of our billing operations, ensure effective and efficient collections, improve existing billing processes, and handle the department's team management and training activities. This role requires great leadership qualities, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of billing procedures and collections techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the billing and collections department.
• Implement and monitor effective billing processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain metrics to measure department efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
• Analyze and resolve complex billing issues and disputes.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to optimize billing procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to streamline billing and collection operations.
• Set targets for the collections team and monitor their performance.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.
• Train and support team members to help them reach their potential and meet their objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AR, Collections, Billing Manager or similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of billing procedures and best collection practices.
• Excellency in MS Office Suite and various billing/payment systems.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legal regulations.
• Outstanding leadership and management skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and internal departments.
