Responsibilities
- Implement and adhere to accounting procedures as required.
- Collaborate with operational leaders, corporate staff, and other professionals.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of GAAP and strong analytical abilities in daily tasks.
- Assist in the training of other team members to further the growth and development of the department.
- Handle an interesting variety of projects.
- Contribute to the professional growth and development of the team.
- Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Conduct month-end close procedures.
- Use NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the retail or furniture industry
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
- Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience in handling month end close procedures efficiently
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software is mandatory
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is desirable
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
