Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant with previous experience to fill an open position at a respected Retail - Clothes & Access company. This role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is based in North Charleston, South Carolina with a company in the Retail - Clothes & Access field. This position comes with solid compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities.What you get to do every day- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary- Partake in various department-wide initiatives- Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP- Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests- Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process- Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
