Responsibilities:
As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for creating and modifying solutions to complex software problems. This includes coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining these solutions. You will actively participate in leading smaller engineering efforts and contribute to larger, enterprise-wide initiatives. Our Engineering teams are challenged to collaborate across departments and divisions to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3 years of hands-on experience in Java development
Proficiency in SQL and working with SQL Server databases
Strong experience with OpenShift, both cloud, and on-prem development (on-prem critical)
Knowledge of Kafka for efficient event-driven architectures
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitHub
Experience working on Scrum teams and adhering to Agile methodologies
Skills:
Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work with team members to find solutions
Proactive and outspoken, willing to share ideas and contribute to discussions
Ability to come to the table with proactive solutions and ideas
Sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and industry-standard practices
Understanding of systems design concepts for security and stability
Deep knowledge of Operating Systems and/or Application Development Platforms
Ability to debug code and analyze complex log files for troubleshooting
Experience with both cloud and on-prem development environments
Knowledge/experience with test automation
Ability to query databases for data lookup/update

Requirements
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the Real Estate & Property industry.
Proven experience in Engineering, with a focus on the implementation of engineering practices and design concepts.
Strong knowledge of Java, GitHub, and REST API.
Demonstrated ability in defect management and understanding of various frameworks.
Proficiency in using monitoring tools and database management.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Experience in workstation support and security procedures.
Strong planning and event planning skills, with a track record of successful project implementation.
Excellent documentation skills, with experience in writing clear and concise specifications.
Proven ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of brand awareness strategies in the real estate industry.
Experience in using collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira.
Demonstrated ability to drive progress in the workplace.
Must be legally authorized to work in the location of the job.
