The firm provides their valued clients with professional services in an array of areas including tax planning, budget forecasting, and financial management, priding themselves on their commitment to providing high quality, personalized financial advice and building lasting relationships based on integrity and mutual trust.The Senior Tax Associate will be an integral member of the team, responsible for the preparation of a large volume of individual and corporate tax returns, trust returns, and pension plan calculations. An adept multi-tasker, you will also be performing tasks like bank reconciliations, journal entries, sales tax, and payroll through our wholesale businesses. This position requires strong communication skills as the role involves regular client interaction including prompt response to inquiries and notices.Key Responsibilities:- 1040 tax returns- Corporate tax returns- Trust returns- Carry out pension plan calculations- Handle gift tax and some non-profit organization returns- Perform monthly bank reconciliations- Manage payroll through the business' wholesale- Prepare regular financial statements and compilations- Respond to client inquiries and notices- Provide advisory services to clients, including quarterly tax projections- Collaborate with and train interns- Ensure timely response time for client calls
