As a Sr. Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will review schedules for the reporting processes, take part in compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. For immediate consideration please contact Dane Nelson @ 608-716-5791.How you will make an impact- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation- Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives- Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting- Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
