Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
- Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Review and analyze financial statements and reports
- Identify and address discrepancies in financial entries and reports
- Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
- Proficient in General Ledger management
- Able to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately and timely
- Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential
- Must have a strong understanding of Account Reconciliation processes
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Must have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Demonstrated understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
- Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
