Robert Half is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Levittown, NY

We are looking for a Staff Accountant on Long Island. The role is centered around handling various accounting tasks such as cash receipts, accounts receivable, bank and account reconciliations. Familiarity with ERP systems is necessary. This role offers a career employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Managing cash receipts efficiently and accurately

• Overseeing accounts receivable to ensure timely payment

• Performing bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy

• Utilizing ERP systems for various accounting tasks

• Potentially handling tasks related to sales tax

• Ensuring month-end close process is completed in a timely manner

• Preparing journal entries as required

• Utilizing various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for different tasks

• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) when necessary

• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all entries are accurate.

• The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in the role of a Staff Accountant or a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Experience with bank reconciliations is required.

• The candidate should have experience with Month End Close processes.
