Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries in general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, to provide insights into financial performance.
- Audit contracts meticulously to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found in records or reports to maintain accuracy.
- Prepare sales and use tax documents, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct inventory analysis to monitor waste and standard inventory cost.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial reports to track financial performance and inform decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets to aid in financial planning.
- Perform Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger Journal Entries, Month End Close preparation, Tax - Sales & Use, Fixed Assets analysis, Balance Sheet Reviews, and Profit & Loss analysis to perform job duties effectively.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar Staff Accountant role.
- Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations.
- Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries.
- Experience with Month End Close process.
- Understanding of Sales & Use Tax regulations.
- Familiarity with Fixed Assets management.
- Experience in conducting Balance Sheet Reviews.
- Proficiency in handling Profit and Loss Statements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
