Responsibilities
- Track, record and reconcile ledger entries related to the company's fixed assets.
- Initiate, recommend, and implement improvements in and manage the fixed asset accounting system.
- Prepare reports regarding the status of the company's fixed assets.
- Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets to ensure accuracy of records.
- Review invoices and expense reports for fixed asset purchases to ensure accuracy and proper capitalization.
- Maintain a clean and organized fixed asset system that accurately tracks, monitors, and reports fixed asset values.
- Collaborate with the finance team to maintain and organize financial records and reports.
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors to carry out the annual audit of fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax laws, and GAAP.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant
- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Expertise in Bank Reconciliations
- Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance
- Experience with Journal Entries
- Ability to perform Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle
- Experience with QuickBooks and SAP
- Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
