About Us

We are a growing faith-based organization seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our IT team as a System Administrator. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our critical technology infrastructure, supporting staff and volunteers in maintaining a connected and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, including hardware and software.
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain optimal functionality and security.
  • Monitor system performance for potential issues that could disrupt operations and take proactive steps to prevent downtime.
  • Manage and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) to ensure smooth data flow, secure connections, and network stability.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and protocols to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
  • Create and maintain user accounts and access permissions, ensuring appropriate security measures.
  • Assist with data backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity in case of unforeseen events.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects and initiatives related to system administration.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 year of experience in a system administration role or relevant IT experience.
  • A strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles (TCP/IP, networking protocols).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • A commitment to providing excellent service and working collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the IT field.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working in a non-profit or faith-based organization.
  • Experience with specific operating systems (Windows, macOS) and virtualization technologies.
  • Certifications such as A , CompTIA Network , or MCSA.
