We are partnering with an organization who is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer. The role involves aiding our company in its adoption of cloud-based technologies. This position is integral to the design, implementation, and support of our on-premise and cloud infrastructure within various environments.
Responsibilities:
Design cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on Azure/MS365 using industry best practices Support Citrix Cloud environment with 300 virtual desktops Implement and organize security best practices, including patch management and incident response Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to find and lessen security vulnerabilities Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats promptly Educate existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to encourage cloud adoption Forecast, implement, capacity planning and identify resource requirements for complex virtual network systems Develop virtual network documentation including logical designs, version management, and IP schemas in consultation with our network team Provide Tier II/III support for complex virtual network issues including configuration, routing issues, performance, software bugs, hardware failures Work with the Systems Director to drive network planning, network architecture design and engineering Guide through Help Desk tickets, finding solutions and supporting end users Research new technologies and prototype solutions that decrease costs and increase performance Create and update network and systems documentation Liaise and support infrastructure-related vendors, including help with financials.
Requirements
Prior work experience of 5 or more years as a Systems Engineer within the Logistics industry is required.
Proficient in using Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, and Dell Technologies.
Familiarity with EO/IR systems and AB Testing.
Possess skills in Active Directory, Backup Technologies, and Computer Hardware.
Proficient in Configuration Management.
Experience in working with Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure Stack, and Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with Citrix and other related technologies.
Demonstrable experience in managing databases.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant detail oriented certifications will be an added advantage.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends.
Must demonstrate strong analytical and decision-making skills.
