DescriptionWe are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Transaction Coordinator located in Fairfield, California. The role primarily revolves around the finance industry, particularly focusing on loan processing and document verification. This position is integral to ensuring all loan closing processes adhere to the necessary state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Assembling, preparing, and reviewing loan closing documents, ensuring all requisite legal and regulatory standards are met.
  • Ensuring the timely submission of project proposals and transaction-related forms as necessitated by program requirements.
  • Reviewing document submissions from program participants and applicants to assess their completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established program requirements.
  • Preparing approval letters, form documents, contracts, and agreements for review and signature by a senior staff member or supervisor.
  • Reviewing loan closing packages for completeness and accuracy, and performing tasks associated with the closing of preservation transactions, grants, and loans.
  • Overseeing the timely completion of post-closing functions including required owner certifications of capital repairs, grant award fund disbursement, and other grant management functions.
  • Coordinating and preparing routine reports for senior staff and management to assist in tracking performance goals.
  • Providing on-going technical assistance on matters related to multifamily housing.
  • Preparing memoranda or recommendations for use by staff and management.
  • Performing activities related to the financing of construction or rehabilitation of multifamily housing projects.

Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Escrow Administrative Assistant or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Data Processing is required.
  • Experience in using LPS (Loan Processing System) is preferred.
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Buying Processes, Check Processing, and Closing Processes is necessary.
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills are required.
  • Should have experience in Documentation, specifically in the context of escrow and real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of Mutual Funds is an added advantage.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Should have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively is necessary.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A high level of professional integrity and confidentiality is required.
