Robert Half is Hiring a Videographer Near Washington, DC

The Office of Communications at a leading Federal Agency is seeking a talented and experienced Videographer/Editor to join their growing team. This individual will work with the Creative Services division to provide videography, photography and other digital media skills and expertise to produce marketing and communications collateral, web and social media videos, animations, and other multimedia and digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, produce, and edit high-quality digital videos for various communication channels.
  • Manage video projects from pre-production to post-production, potentially including filming, editing, animation, and interactive elements.
  • Capture high-quality photographs for events, executive headshots, and other purposes, with a keen eye for composition and lighting.
  • Edit photographs to ensure a consistent aesthetic across all materials.
  • Ensure all multimedia products adhere to strict agency branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage project approvals, track changes, and serve as the central point of contact for updates.
  • Leverage expertise in industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • This role is 25% shooting videos, 50% editing and production and 25% other responsibilities like attending meetings, giving feedback to peers and working with the creative managers.
  • Candidate would be responsible for shooting interviews, events, etc. It would depend on what work the project needs at that time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, Digital Media, Videography, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional video/multimedia production, including video and audio editing.
  • Available to travel locally 10%-15% of the time.
  • Candidate must have experience doing corporate videos. A plus if candidate has worked with any federal agency.
  • Proven ability to create compelling visuals and translate communication objectives into engaging multimedia content.
  • Experience with event photography and/or executive headshot photography is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and external clients.
  • Strong understanding of marketing/communication/social media principles to integrate multimedia elements into broader campaigns.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a keen eye for design and a strong sense of concept development.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A portfolio showcasing your creative work is required.
