***This role is on site 5 days a week in Menlo Park, CA***

This client is a private investment firm that invests using an endowment approach across five major asset classes: fixed income, absolute return, public equity, private equity, and real assets.

As a member of the firm’s Finance Team, the individual will be responsible for fund accounting for a set of the firm’s funds, as well as playing an active role in helping to establish accounting and finance controls and best practices for the firm’s partnerships and business endeavors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting processes for a set of the firm’s funds

• Coordinate and review quarterly administrator accounting packages, partner capital and financial statements, and calls/distributions to partners

• Calculation, reporting, and maintenance of fund analytics

• Coordinate with auditors on year-end audit work

• Assist in preparation of tax estimates and tax returns for the funds

• Work with broader finance team to ensure consistent practices and controls

• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices

• Assist in special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

• 3 years’ accounting/finance experience

• CPA preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and follow through, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong computer skills including advanced Excel

• Flexible, detail oriented, and able to take the initiative and manage multiple projects while working in a collaborative team environment

Education: BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
