What You'll DoAs a Product Manager for Discretionary Technology, you will be at the forefront of driving user-focused product design within the investment technology sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering with various stakeholders including senior end users, business leaders and software developers. You will be instrumental in defining and delivering projects that enhance business goals and efficiency. Your role will also involve conducting discovery analyses to comprehend user needs, scoping open-ended projects and conceptualising innovative solutions. A key part of your role will be developing an in-depth understanding of how applications interact across the firm.
Partner with senior end users and business leaders from multiple investment teams as well as a team of software developers to define and deliver projects that drive business goals and efficiency
Conduct discovery analyses to understand user needs, scope open-ended projects, and conceptualize solutions
Specify technical requirements, track and communicate around timelines, and drive projects to successful completion
Develop a deep understanding of how applications interact across the firm
Analyse requirements and dependencies, manage expectations and interactions with other technical groups
Significantly contribute to multiple businesses across the firm
What You BringThe ideal candidate for this Product Manager role brings a wealth of experience and skills. You should hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher and have at least five years of relevant experience. Your career history should demonstrate progressive responsibility. Essential for this role is your experience in product management and interest in working on internal-facing software; experience in finance is a plus. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, dedicated customer service mentality, and ability to exercise discretion with intellectual property will be key to your success in this role.
Bachelor’s degree or higher
