Robin AI are expanding our Engineering team into New York; this role is a unique opportunity to help establish our Engineering presence there! This role incorporates both hands-on, and Team/People Management elements, roughly on a 60/40 split. You will work closely with Product, and other stakeholders, to help build technology that changes the way companies all over the world do deals by developing ground-breaking products that transform the way legal teams operate.

You'll make meaningful decisions on our technical direction and work with engineers to implement them. You'll drive key initiatives for our function chapters, and identify how we can do things better. Lead a Product focused squad of around 5-6 Engineers; promote growth through feedback, help each team member achieve their potential, and support your team through their journey at Robin.
Play a key hands-on role in a product-focused squad. Make key design and implementation decisions, writing high-quality, well-tested code that solves challenging problems.
Champion a collaborative engineering culture where people feel empowered to push boundaries, take ownership and drive real change.
Develop Backend services and GraphQL API’s using Django, Flask and similar Python frameworks, and Frontend applications using React and Typescript.
Scale our Engineering team through inclusive hiring. Spearhead our initiative to diversify our talent pipeline by building relationships with coding bootcamps, network groups and beyond.
Shape our onboarding processes and mentorship program to help set our engineers up for success, develop their skills, and create learning opportunities.
Previous experience leading a Product focused team; ideally in a start-up/scale-up environment.
Background designing and implementing web applications and API’s, utilising a variety of tools and technologies.
Extensive Python/React hands-on experience.
You have a passion for developing the careers and skills of your team. You take the time to understand your teams career goals and what is important to them. You foster a great engineering culture by ensuring trust, honesty and openness within your team.
In-depth understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment).
(nice to have) Familiarity with search algorithms and RAG based information retrieval concepts.
Salary: $200,000 - $300,000
