Job Overview
Assist veterans accessing resources through Department of Veteran Affairs and in the community.
Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
Conducts intake, gathering history including MH, debt, drug & alcohol test, etc.
Provides professional, compassionate assistance with employment, housing, etc. as appropriate.
Assists veterans with accessing appropriate public & private resources, e.g., SNAP.
Documents meeting content in case notes.
Completes periodic training as required to maintain certification.
Meets with Executive Director as required to review veteran’s status, receive guidance on overcoming problems as needed.
Safeguards confidential information.
Promotes empowerment, self-determination, self-learning, wellness tools, and resilience through mentoring and service coordination supports.
Experience

- A High School Diploma and two to three years’ experience in human services, case management, or housing counseling; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Satisfactorily complete at hire, and ongoing as required, all background checks and clearances, such as Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, drug and alcohol, and FBI clearances.
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Competence with oral and written English.
- A PA driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
