Job OverviewAt Robinson, client relationships are our top priority. We’re looking for a dedicated and personable project manager to maintain client accounts and serve as our main point of contact. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and drive for providing exceptional customer service. Applicants should also be proficient in internal communication within Robinson.
OBJECTIVES
  • Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to the client’s concerns and needs
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Work with internal Robinson teams to develop strategic marketing ideas to achieve Robinson’s vision, mission and business goals, along with cost saving ideas while maintaining production schedules, expert craftsmanship, and quality requirements
Role And Responsibilities
  • Handle all inquiries and requests from customers and address them in a timely manner
  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products to be able to upsell, cross-sell and bring in new opportunities
  • Perform risk management to minimize projects that would have a negative financial and manufacturing impact to the organization
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and project changes to be shared with Robinson
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress of projects both internally and externally
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools
  • Initiate and direct project planning meetings
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Routine project review meetings with production for customer updates and projects
Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • Excellent Client-facing skills and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Work, Excel, Outlook, Syteline, Auto Cad, Solid Works
  • Ability to hold production DFM (Design for Manufacturing) meetings with ability to add technical advice as well
  • Degree in areas of business, engineering, project management, design, preferred. PMP certification or equivalent a plus
  • 5 plus years of previous project management or shop floor supervision experience in a metal manufacturing environment required
  • Good conflict resolution skills with problem solving techniques
