Position Responsibilities: 

The Director of Test and Integration Automation will be responsible for…

  • Defining the roles and staffing requirements to grow the test team along with working with outside vendors to define requirements for support personnel to augment the test team.
  • Defining and driving a vision for continuous test and integration of autonomous vehicle systems across multiple platforms.
  • Researching new test methods and strategies to improve testing efficiency and execution time.
  • Developing a strategy and tools to utilize simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and full system testing to verify safety and performance requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining test standards, design, and develop test equipment or procuring and handling purchased test capital equipment to support test readiness.
  • Developing strategic and execution plans for testing prototype hardware, and software in support of research and development.
  • Developing and implementing a system to track testing issues and document the results of testing activities and ensuring root cause analysis for problems found during testing are completed.
  • Assisting the development of software test tools and processes to demonstrate coverage of all requirements, and features.
  • Defining and developing tools to streamline test analysis and reporting

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with ISO-26262, ISO-21448, MIL-STD-882, or similar safety specifications
  • Broad testing experience background that spans hardware, electrical, and software systems
  • Understanding of the System and Subsystem Requirement/Specification Generation Process
  • Experience with Verification and Validation Test Procedure generation and execution
  • Substantial experience with Python/C and SQL in a software driven environment

Education & Experience: 

  • BS or MS in Electronics/Electrical, Robotics, Software, Mechatronics (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years of experience in system test, automation, and root-cause analysis in fields similar in complexity to autonomous driving.
  • 3 years in a supervisor position

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in software testing automation, CI/CD, etc. leading to improved test frameworks.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB and/or other programming languages suitable for data collection and analysis.
  • Experience with specifications applicable to military ground vehicles including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1275.
  • General understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Office Location: Clarksburg, MD

Tele-work Opportunities: On-site preferred, will consider hybrid (2-3 days remote) 

Travel Requirements: 

  • Travel may be required (up to 10%)
