Pathology Lab Development consists of four key capabilities: Assay and Reagent Development, System Development and Integration, Hardware Development and Software Development.
Area of focus within the Assay and Reagent Development team allow for deeper focus and agility. Combined mechanical and electrical engineering under Hardware Development allows for better systems thinking. Subject matter expertise under the System Development Leads team allows sharing of practices, learning, and growth.
The Opportunity

• Driving the implementation of design or design change concepts, executes experiments to test hypotheses related to project outcomes, and applies advanced scientific knowledge to projects; determines priorities for experiments
• Constant urgency while maintaining focus on product quality and reliability
• Expert knowledge of engineering principles and concepts
• Leading efforts to define new components, products or processes; Identifies and solves technical challenges, implements improvements to work processes
• Creates potentially patentable components for systems, or processes. Designs, plans and executes project related tasks
• Leads and/or participates cross-functional technical teams. Establishes interfaces across other organizational groups
• Provides technical direction and feedback to others, teaches others and troubleshoots problems. Participates in project planning, process updates and contributes to experimental design
• Prepares and delivers presentations of project results to others; presents data to larger and more diverse audiences. Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline and 8 years experience or MS degree in directly related discipline 4 years of related experience required
• Medical Device Design or R&D experience required.

Preferred:

• Comfortable operating in an Agile work environment. SAFe Agile experience is preferred.
• Customer facing or field experience in medical devices is preferred

No Relocation available with this positionThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Primary Location State is insert min and max of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
