Rochester Management is Hiring a Director of Information Technology Near Rochester, NY

The Director of Technology/IT position at Rochester Management, Inc. offers a dynamic leadership role. The successful candidate will have proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry's best practices. This position will be spearheading technology initiatives and safeguarding the integrity of the organization’s information systems to ensure the trust and confidence of stakeholder, residents and staff. The guidance and strategic vision that this role provides will be instrumental in meeting the evolving needs of the organization, while advancing the mission of providing quality affordable housing.

Rochester Management, Inc. is a non-profit real estate management firm that has led the way in Affordable Housing for the past seven decades. RMI was formed through collaboration of local business and civic leader in response to an urgent need for quality housing for WWII veterans in Rochester, New York. Today, RMI has been instrumental in creating much needed affordable housing for seniors and families. The non-profit currently manages over 3,900 units throughout Rochester, Canandaigua, Syracuse and Utica, consisting of owned properties and real estate managed for other non-profit organizations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage information technology and computer network:
  • Oversee information systems and electronic data processing.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with managers on system requirements, costs and timelines.
  • Oversee budget management and purchasing
  • Staff management, including training, coaching and performance appraisal.
  • Hire contractors for system development and cybersecurity testing.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks and network administration:
  • Research and make recommendations about technology resources.
  • Oversee the installation and update of software and hardware.
  • Ensure secure network access to staff at all locations.
  • Monitor the security and address breaches.
  • Inventory maintenance of all technology resources.
  • Hardware disposal management.
  • Staff education and training:
  • Provide/oversee new user orientation and ongoing training.
  • Oversee cyber-security training for staff.
  • Other Duties:
  • Any other related tasks as required by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
