Rockbridge Area Health Center is Hiring a Revenue Cycle Specialist Near Lexington, VA

Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Revenue Cycle Specialist. RAHC is a community-based healthcare facility committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable healthcare services to individuals and families in the Rockbridge area. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we prioritize serving patients regardless of their ability to pay.

As a Revenue Cycle Specialist at RAHC, you will be pivotal in coordinating billing processes and ensuring seamless electronic data exchange among healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory bodies. Your responsibilities include monitoring outstanding claims and accounts receivable, maintaining payer and software interfaces, and collaborating with payers and patients to streamline claims and payment processes.

Additionally, you will play a key role in provider enrollment, managing CAQH ProView profiles, administering electronic data interfaces, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. This position requires close collaboration with internal departments, external partners, and IT personnel to maintain accurate records, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Previous experience in healthcare EDI administration and provider enrollment management strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAQH ProView system and other credentialing software platforms is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive healthcare information.
