Rockin' R Search is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Houston, TX

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team in New Caney, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing both inside and outside sales teams, with a focus on big box accounts and distribution dealers. This role requires a hands-on approach to sales management, with significant time spent both in the field and in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
External Sales Team Management:
•Lead and manage the external sales team, ensuring alignment with company sales goals.
•Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth and increase market share.
•Provide training, support, and guidance to the sales team to enhance their performance and professional development.
Big Box Accounts:
•Maintain and grow relationships with big box retail accounts.
•Identify opportunities for new business and work to secure and expand these accounts.
•Collaborate with key account managers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Territory Management:
•Act as a working manager handling outside sales within your designated territory.
•Meet and exceed sales targets through direct sales efforts.
•Utilize market knowledge to identify potential customers and develop strategic sales plans.
Inside Sales Team Management:
•Oversee the day-to-day activities of the inside sales team, dedicating 1-1.5 days per week in the office.
•Ensure efficient sales operations and provide support to the inside sales team.
•Monitor sales metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Distribution Dealers:
•Assist in managing and expanding relationships with distribution dealers.
•Support dealer sales efforts through training, marketing, and joint sales calls.
•Ensure effective communication and collaboration between dealers and their company.
Travel:
•Approximately 20% travel required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales efforts.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
•Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales management role.
•Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies, particularly within big box retail and distribution channels.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to travel as required and manage a flexible work schedule.
