Maintenance Technician III

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Specialized training and/or experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility related systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or other systems and equipment is preferred. Applicant should be willing to obtain special licenses and permits for a variety of fields to enhance their valve to Rockingham County Schools. Applicant must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be willing to assign any license(s), possessed or obtained, to the school district if needed to comply with local or state regulations
• Assist troubleshooting, installation and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or other systems and equipment
• Ability to work alone or with other associates to complete assigned tasks
• Assist with all aspects of maintenance
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with maintenance employees, school staff, parents and others
• Requires ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
• Must be able to perform under stress and when confronted with emergency situations
• Work under direction of supervisor for any work orders assigned regardless of nature
